New Tires & Maintenance

How long does a tire last?
It is recommended that a car gets new tires every 50-60,000 miles or every 6 years. There are a number of factors that can wear out your car’s tires. Driving with underinflated tires for too long, rarely getting your tires rotated, weather conditions, how you drive your car, and what type of car you have are the big factors. You should replace your tires even if there is tread remaining. First Tire Automotive offers a large selection of quality tires.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), tire failure causes around 11,000 car crashes each year. It is important for your family’s safety that you know the warning signs of tire failure.
Signs of tire failure:
- Bulges, gouges, cuts or cracks
- Tread wear and unevenness
- Low tire pressure
- Vibration or thumping when you drive
If you notice any of these issues occurring, contact First Tire & Automotive right away, we recommend that you not drive your car.
