Did you know that May 28th – June 3rd is National Tire Safety Week? The United States Tires Manufacturer’s Association urges all motorists to do the quick four-step tire check to avoid a flat tire:
1)Check tire pressure on all your tires. The recommended amount of tire pressure needed for your vehicle is located on the inside of the driver’s side door panel.
2)Check the tire tread depth with a simple penny test. Simply insert a penny into your tire's tread groove with Lincoln's head upside down and facing you. If you can see all of Lincoln's head, your tread depth is less than 2/32 inch and it's time to replace your tires.
3)Check for irregular wear on tires.
4)Check tires for cuts, bulges and bald spots.
Your safety is always FIRST, so stop by any of our First Tire & Automotive locations and let one of our ASE Certified Technicians help answer any questions you might have about your tires.
